TRAINING COORDINATOR JOINED THE WORK TEAM OF OLADE

Dr. Victorio Oxilia Dávalos, national of Paraguay, took the office of Training Coordinator of the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) on February 25, 2008.  He took office at the headquarters of the Organization located in Quito-Ecuador.

The oath of office for Mr. Oxilia was administered by the Executive Secretary of OLADE, Mr.Carlos Arturo Flórez, and took place in presence of the Ambassador of Paraguay, Mr. Martínez Lezcano, the representative of Calgary University, Dr. Leda Sánchez as well as the Directors, Coordinators and officials of the Organization.

Dr. Oxilia said to feel proud to join the work team of the Latin American Energy Organization and to represent Paraguay, which is a country with a high energy path. In addition, he expressed his commitment to support the duties of the Permanent Secretariat and the work on energy development in each Member Country of the Organization.

Victorio Oxilia has a Bachelor of Science in Physics and pursued graduate studies on Nuclear Energy – Reactor Physics and a Master of Science in Scientific and Technological Development. He is studying his PhD in Science given by the energy department of the Universidad de Sao Paulo – Brazil.  He has been in charge of directive and assessment positions in public and private entities related with energy and science.  He has represented his county Internationally at International Organizations. Training consultant in Energy issues, university professor and author of books and specialized articles.
