THE DIRECTOR OF INTEGRATION OF OLADE TOOK THE OFFICE

On February 08, 2008 in Quito-Ecuador, Mr. Erick Fernando Cabrera Castellanos, national of Guatemala, took office as the new Director of Integration of the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) in an official act.

The oath of office was administered by the Executive Secretary, Carlos Arturo Flórez Piedrahita in front of the staff of the Latin American Energy Organization.

The Executive Secretary welcomed the new Director with a brief address and stressed his commitment and constant disposition of the Organization’s staff to continue working towards Regional and Sub-regional Integration of Latin America and the Caribbean.

On the other hand, Mr. Cabrera said that his main goal as the Director of Integration is to turn his department into an efficient, creative and collaborative organizational unit in alliance with the Executive Secretariat, the Department of Planning and Projects and the coordinators making part of it.

“My tenure will be oriented to go from planning to actions and concrete results in a disciplined, participative and consensus basis in order to facilitate the decision-making process and thus achieve the goals and objectives stipulated in the triennial plan and to fulfil the Ministerial decisions of the XXXVIII Meeting of Ministers of OLADE,” stated the recent Director of Integration.
