The Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) is presently developing its forecast, aimed to provide its member countries with a tool for energy policy making. This will assist them in establishing long-term action plans for risk management and identifying opportunities, thereby optimizing the region's energy matrix and sustainable energy development.

On November 27, 2008, in Lima, Peru, the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), in collaboration with PETROPERU, held a workshop on “Lessons Learned: Regulatory Frameworks – Efficient State–owned Oil & Gas Enterprises", within the framework of the Sustainable Energy Program the organization is executing together with the University of Calgary and the Canadian cooperation agency, CIDA.
