FIER 2007 TOPICS: Plenary sessions and panel discussions will have the participation of specialists from energy ministries, public and private companies, international institutions, as well as energy experts. Conferences and expositions will cover the following areas:

  • Progress made in implementing legal frameworks and sub-regional integration agreements.
  • Strategic partnerships between public and private companies and their role in energy integration.
  • Binational projects in natural gas and electricity
  • Transformation of state-owned energy enterprises and their role in energy integration.
  • Biofuels, climate change and social development.
  • Private sector vision and its role in energy integration.

MEDELLIN DECLARATION AND CLOSING SESSION
The Medellin Declaration will be signed by Energy Ministers.
The President of Colombia will participate in the closing session.
