Answer 1: Check if the connection to the database is valid. For this, go to SIEN web site starting page and check if the language section list displays values. If this is not the case, ask OLADE for technical support.
Answer 2: The database client does not exist or is not properly configured.
Validate the connection with the SIEN client.
- Access the database using the SQL query analyzer: SIEN and SIEN client data (Ask OLADE for technical support)
- If the error "[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] The user predetermined database can not be opened. Error starting session.” is displayed, then you need to reconfigure the client.
- Using the SQL Query analyzer, access the SIEN database with administrator privileges.
- Select SIEN DB.
- Run the following script: EXEC sp_change_users_login 'Update_One', 'Nombre_Cliente_SIEN', 'Nombre_Cliente_SIEN'
- The starting page of SIEN Web site is not displayed properly.
Answer: The browser is configured as not to receive Active X Controls. On the browser security configuration, allow Active X Control execution.

On the toolbar, select the following: Tools >> Internet Options >> Security tab
Web Content Zone: [Internet]
Button: Custom Level
Window: Security Configuration
Group: ActiveX Controls and complements
Enable all options in this group
- The Parameter settings program does not work in Windows 2003 Server Operating System.
Answer: Download the proper program version in the Parameter Settings session. There are two program versions available for this matter. The first is for Windows 2000 and XP and the second is exclusively for Windows 2003 Server.
