The Latin American Energy Organization jointly with the International Energy Forum Secretariat (IEFS) and the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum of Venezuela are organizing the training workshop on the Joint Oil Data Initiative (JODI) and Energy Balances that will be held on August, 14th to 18th  in Caracas Venezuela.
 
The event has the support of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the Asia-Pacific Economic Forum (APEC), the Statistics Office of the European Communities (Eurostat), the International Energy Agency (IEA), the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), entities that joint to OLADE and IEFS participate in the Joint Oil Data Initiative (JODI), whose goal is to improve the transparency and the quality of the information in the world oil market through the provision of precise and reliable data.

This workshop arises like an action aimed to get this objective but the event is only a fraction of a series of training sessions in gathering and execution of energy data which will be offered around the world.

Delegates of the Ministries of Energy of the Member Countries of OLADE will participate in the workshop, where OLADE will present the National Energy Information System (SIEN) with the purpose to contribute in the training and teaching about the elaboration of energy balances.
