Energy Ministers and authorities of Latin America and the Caribbean countries, that belong to the Energy Latin American Organization (OLADE), will meet at the “Regional Seminary on Bio-fuels", which will be carried out from 23rd to April 25th in the Brasilia city.
Agricultural producers, fuel distributors and the private sector of the Latin America and the Caribbean countries that maintain a direct or indirect interest in the energy area and the sustainable development in the region.
The seminar has as objective to present the experience developed by Brazil as regards alternative fuels that have low impact on the environment and whose application could contribute to the reduction of emission of polluting gases, one of the reason that produce the global warming.
The meeting will approach the topic about the production, commercialization and uses of the ethanol and biodiesel like new energy alternatives. Brazil is one of the countries that has carried out investigations about ecological fuel and has made progress in the regulation of its production and consumption.
This seminar is organized as part of the commitments agreed in the XXXVI Meeting of Ministers of OLADE, which was held in October, whose objective is to exchange points of view as to allow the application of strategies and activities aimed to promote energy use according to the sustainable development paradigm in the region. |
