Description. -
The Virtual Energy Training Center - CAPEV is a program designed by the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) to help update the knowledge of the professional profiles required by society to meet the new energy challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean, through on-line training courses of high academic level.
This training program is aimed at officials of the Ministries and Departments of Energy's 27 member countries OLADE business personnel, universities, unions, international organizations and other private activities related to the energy sector.
The academic offer OLADE makes available to the stakeholders includes topics such as: Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Energy Planning, Energy Information Management, among others. The training aims to establish a Latin American and Caribbean Network, through which various experts and specialists in the energy sector, share knowledge and experiences, no matter where they are at the time of the training.
MISSION: To train regional human resources for sustainable development with social equity.
Methodology. -
Training courses are delivered in a coordinated manner taking into account the different sub-regions, languages and times of the Member Countries.
Each course consists of thematic modules, divided into virtual sessions that are defined with a workload according to the course.
The student develops practical work and is allowed to a tutoring schedule where he/she can interact with the instructor on specific cases.
