MISSION: To support member countries in planning, formulating and implementing energy policies.

• Energy Planning is to strengthen the capacity of the Regions ministries of energy in energetic sectorial planning in the context of energy markets with free competition. It is about creating an energy planning model based on lessons learned and implementation of specific proposals in some Member Countries.
• SUPER-OLADE The Power System Generation and Inter-Connection Planning Modell is a computational tool that unifies the mathematical and analytical procedures necessary to find strategies for expansion at minimum cost for electric generation and transmission in hydrothermal systems.
• SIEN-OLADE The National Energy Information System (SIEN-OLADE) is a computer tool for the systematic management of the most relevant information in the energy sector. It makes easer the diagnostic, planning and regulating work in the activities of the sector.
