The Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) has published the 2008 edition of the Energy Statistics Report with data at 2007. It is an annual publication that gathers updated data from OLADE's Energy - Economic Information System (SIEE).
Based on a compilation of official data from all member countries, this publication provides information on supply, demand, prices, and indicators that link the energy industry to the environment and economy of OLADE's member countries.
Given to its contents and features, the Energy Statistics Report is deemed to contribute to a deeper understanding of the historical situations and outcomes of the energy industry in the region and in each of the member countries, making it a valuable tool for comparative analyses, policy-making and energy planning studies. It is also an official reference source utilized to perform studies by sub-regions.
This publication is aimed primarily towards member country energy authorities, but its users also include professionals and representatives of international organizations, public- and private-sector enterprises, experts working with universities and research centres, investors, and in general all those involved in the energy industry.
