• Relating them with the construction and operation of thermoelectric plants, review of the electrical sector, environmental policies and electricity market int the region.
• Information compilation and data organization about the most important thermoelectric plants in the Region.
• Review the situation of fossil-fuel plants that currently operate in Latin America and the Caribbean, classified by technology used and their characteristics. Additionally, plants in the planning-phase and classified by technology used will be studied. The research will be completed with the study of clean technologies potential.
• Framework of the ongoing dialogues and activities between the EU and the LAC region and propositions.
• Europe-LAC Conference where the project will be presented and promoted in order to attract and convince investors and financing organizations to invest into new clean fossil technologies in thermoelectric plants in the region.
